R.I.P. Natina Reed of the group Blaque (The Rapper Chick) *updated*

” According to the Gwinnett Police Department, the driver of the vehicle that hit Reed called 911 at 10:30 PM last night. She was pronounced dead at Gwinnett Medical Center 29 minutes later.

A press release said that Reed “was in the roadway on Lawrenceville Highway near Hamilton Road when struck.”

Police say the investigation is ongoing, but say the driver “was determined to be not at fault and there are no charges pending.”

I am sad to report that Natina Reed, a member from 90′s R&B girl group Blaque was hit by a car and killed tonight (Oct.27th) as she walked across a street in Atlanta, GA.

Do you remember the Left Eye inspired platinum group who was most famous from their song 808?  I know I loved this group!  Natina was the rapper in the group.  She also was a songwriter and Kurupt’s (from the Dogg Pound) babay’s mother.  Natina was currently in the studio writing for other R&B groups.

Natina was arrested for DUI back in 2011 and had cleaned up her act.  Police are investigating this crime as we speak.  My condolences goes out to her friends and family.  I really hope they find who did this.
